Sweet Dreams ~ a blend of Chamomile, Lavender, Lemon Balm & Rose Petals
Sweet Dreams ~ a blend of Chamomile, Lavender, Lemon Balm & Rose Petals

Hello Bloomers!

I love Sundays. I always try to take a few moments just for myself, away from screens, distractions, and the noise of the week. Now that our kids are grown and out of the house, Sundays are no longer filled with dance classes, sports games, and endless running around (although I miss those days like crazy). Instead, they have become a time for my husband and me to slow down, let the to-do lists wait, and just be. It’s in these small, simple moments that I find clarity and peace. And, sipping a warm cup of herbal tea on a Sunday adds to the serenity of the day, creating a peaceful moment to unwind, reflect, and recharge for the week ahead.

I’ve always been a coffee drinker—there’s nothing like that first cup in the morning to start my day ~ but lately, I’ve been exploring the world of herbal tea and started creating my own blends. I'm learning about the benefits of different herbs, and enjoy the ritual of blending and brewing them. Today I'm sharing a blend I created because of the soothing and calming benefits of these herbs (keep in mind, I am not a doctor, just a tea-loving, herb-exploring enthusiast, so sip responsibly and consult a pro for any medical concerns)!

Sweet Dreams Tea Blend

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup dried chamomile (promotes relaxation)

  • 1/2 cup dried lemon balm (reduces stress)

  • 1/4 cup dried rose petals (improves sleep)

  • 1 tablespoon lavender buds (rich in antioxidants)

Instructions:

  1. Combine all the dried herbs and store in an air tight container

  2. When ready to drink, add 2-3 tablespoons in a teapot or infuser (depending on the strength of tea you want)

  3. Pour hot (but not boiling) water over the herbs and let steep for 5-7 minutes.

  4. Strain into a cup and add honey or lemon if desired.

  5. Sip slowly, breathe deeply, and enjoy your moment of Sunday serenity!

Sundays, after all, are meant for rest, reflection, and a little indulgence. And there’s no better way to do that than with a steaming cup of tea in hand.

So, tell me—what’s your favorite Sunday tea ritual?
